Ci siamo trovati molto bene. Siamo stati in una doppia con tutti i comfort descritti sul sito. Era proprio quello che ci voleva per un breve week end di relax. Inoltre la posizione centrale ci ha permesso di muoverci sin da subito a piedi per il centro della città. Ottima anche la colazione. Speriamo di tornare!

To begin with, we were met at the airport by Domenico, our host, who welcomed us with his wife Rosaria, most graciously. We were able to communicate in our broken Italian, and they helped us to find out how to get to the area we needed to meet our guide for the etna excursion. They were also able to help us with public transport advice and booking a taxi. My partner and I stayed in the double room, and my father stayed in the twin room. Both rooms were ensuite. The ensuite bathroom is quite small, the shower cubicle is pretty neat (as in tight). However, the towels provided were plentiful, clean and large! I found the water presure in the shower to be variable, but the temperature was pretty good. However, my partner didn't have any hot water (and I really didn't run it cold! :) ). The rooms are large and comfortable, they have their own lock and key if you're concerned about security. The appartment is secure, on the third floor (no lift) and in a secure building. The area around the B&B is typical of Catania - a bit run down, but plenty to see! The Norman castle is about ten minutes' stroll away, and the markets and cathedral are only five minutes or so beyond that. The breakfast was fantastic! We had fruit juice, coffee, hot chocolate (Italian syle - exquisite!), bottled water, yoghurt, fresh pastries (really, really good), and tinned pineapple. Also staying were a French couple, who elected to have the european breakfast of cold meats, cheeses and bread rather than the pastries. Overall, we had a really good stay, slept well, and would recommend the B&B to friends.

Impossible to find! 3 very steep flights of stairs (72 steps). Nice once you're there, but took 2 hours to find; no sign. Bed & breakfast, not hotel. Good room, good meal. Was told they would have picked us up from airport, but didn't get email until after we had left for trip. Nice people though. We only stayed here because our flight got in late and we didn't want to continue on to Taormina so late. Even cab drivers couldn't find the place! There was no one there when we arrived and we had to wait 45 minutes for someone to come.

This place is a flat with three individual bedrooms that can be locked by key and all with private facilities, TV air condition, hair dryer etc. then there is a kitchen and livingroom that are common. Staff was very friendly and food was good in quatity and quality. very good central area for people who want to walk around Catania main roads.

Les proprios viennent nous chercher et nous reconduire à l'aéroport,ce qui est grandement apprécié.La ruelle et l'extérieur ne sont pas un bon reflet de ce qui nous attend à l'intérieur.La propreté ,les fresques peintes aux plafonds ,les petits-déjeuners copieux et les hôtes très serviables font de ce Bed and Breakfast un endroit à recommander.

Good: the proprietors were charming and really helpful, they gave us every information needed! The room and bathroom is ok, the breakfast was perfect both in quantity and quality. Bad: cannot find the acomonodation with the map, street opens from Via St. Trinita. The proprietors speak only Italian and you cannot pay with creditcard. Flat is on the 3rd floor without elevator. Other comments: The surrounding is not nice, but at the center and also close to the airport. I can recommend this accomodation with these comments.

The room is spacious, clean with good beds and airco! The owners are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was more than sufficient.

The hotel staff will pick you up from the airport if you request it which is very useful. Also very helpful. Not best looking building on outside.

We reached La Fontana dell'Amenano after that three criminals robbed us . The owners of La Fontana helped us with everything, with the practical things and to love Sicilian people. You feel welcome in thei B & B, not only as guests but also as friends. The Bed & Breakfast is part of a real classic Italian house near the Piazza Duomo. The rooms are very quiet and the breakfast is a combination of the Italian sweet things and the more continental art. Next year we'll go to Sicily again, the start and finish will be in La Fontana dell'Amenano!! Gerda en Frits

Accoglienza più che straordinaria (grazie ancora carissimi Domenico e signora), ambiente caldo e familiare,camera matrimoniale spaziosa, pulita e intrisa di sapore autentico di Sicilia; collocazione splendida a 10 min a piedi dal Duomo, anche se un po' difficile da trovare.. Colazione straottima, paste fresche della migliore tradizione siciliana.. che dire altro? Unico neo: 3 piani di scale (occhio ai bimbi piccoli..), ma vale ampiamente la pena!
