HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL

By car
From Rome (heading north) or from Florence (heading south) using the A1 motorway:
From the A1 motorway, take the exit for Monte San Savino (about 50 km south of Florence and 100 km north of Rome). After paying the toll charges, turn right at the main road heading toward Castiglion Fiorentino (SP39). At the T-Junction, turn left and proceed for approximately 4.4 km, then at the traffic lights, go straight across and continue toward Castiglion Fiorentino. Upon entering Castiglion Fiorentino (look out for the COOP supermarket on your right), turn right at the T-Junction toward Cortona. At the third set of traffic lights (just before a Q8 gas station on the left), turn left towards Polvano. Now, take the second right (by the church) signed Pieve Di Chio/Orzale. After reaching Pieve Di Chio, continue driving straight on (look out for a church on your right) for about 700 metres. You will see 2 large pine trees on the right of the road, then a small bridge. On the bridge, to the right, is the private road entrance to Casa Portagioia.
