To recharge our portable phone we had to disconnect the refrigerator. No cakes for breakfast, but good variety of other choices. No air conditioning

We had two rooms .. a family room and triple. Both were spacious and very clean. The hotel is family owned and the owners ensure your satisfaction. Very helpful with things to do, directions, resturants, etc.

This was a very well run pension on the fifth floor of a building right in the middle of the very busy and lively Mariahilfer Strasse. The neighborhood is perfect..right in the middle of everything and a few steps from a metro stop. The hotel was clean, efficiently run and charming. We really loved it.

This hotel was excellent. Great location, walking distance to all sights and venues we wanted to visit and close to public transportation. Staff was VERY helpful and gave good information and advice, arranged a tour for us, etc. Breakfast included in price was nice. Room spacious, comfortable, nicely furnished and equipped. Internet computer available for guest use at no charge (30 minute maximum) which was helpful. Everything we wanted at a good price and value.

Mr. Arian greeted us cordially late at night. He was very helpful during our short stay, directing us to restaurants, train terminals, and best buys. The breakfast was good, the usual fare, in a very clean breakfast room. The Servius Cafe across the street was excellent! Shopping with my daughter was superb. Fresh fruit and drinks are available, along with very good eateries. The Museum Quarter is down the street, so it's a good location overall. The room was adequate, but the fan is a must to be able to sleep in the summer.

Good location at the heart of the shopping district, and within walking distance to the Ring and the historical centre (a pleasant 10 minutes brisk walk outside opening hours, otherwise a slower walk of 15 minutes through the busy street). Next to the underground station (U3 direct connection to Wien Mitte, the arrival station from the the airport) if needed. We asked for a quiet room and got a room facing the back; not much of a view, but it satisfied perfectly our main request for quietness. We also liked the fact that we were given a choice of a non-smoking room. Everything in the room looked new and of good quality. The breakfast was unremarkable, but adequate and fulfilling enough to see us through till lunch. People at reception were extremely helpful and warm and they were happy to assist us with our questions in English. A very good combination of quality, location, price.

The reception desk personal was very unpleasant to us when solving problems with our reservation (they wrote bad date of our arrival to their system, so it was their fault, not ours!!!). Otherwise the hotel was quite fine.

The property as shown is very different from the actual one. Paying the same money one can get much better value in other hotels. Also the owner Mr. ARIAN HAS ABSOLUTELY NO ETIQUETTE HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT IS THE MEANING OF HOSPITALITY AND WAS EXTREMELY RUDE, UNFRIENDLY AND UN COOPERATIVE. HE SHOULD NOT BE IN THE HOTEL BUSINESS.

A very lovely hotel room in a great location for walking to most of Vienna's major attractions. The hotel staff are nice but do not give you a warm greeting upon arrival. The breakfast was adequate with cereals, meats, cheeses, and a variety of hot drinks. They have free internet access which is really nice. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

This is not a hotel as listed. It is a pension -- meaning bed and breakfast. It does not offer the services of a 4-star hotel, merely that of a 4-star pension. It should have been categorized as such. The entrance is unwelcoming, and we had a hard time getting our many pieces of luggage through the building front door (shared with many other non-hotel units in the building), through the dark and sparten common hallway, up the very small elevator, then through another short corridor and then the pension front door, before getting to the lobby and the property of the pension, by which time we were sweating like crazy and exhausted. There was no one to help us with our luggage. The same happened with our departure. Also, we were there in late June, and the temperature was over 32 degrees Celcius in the daytime, yet the pension had no air-conditioning. They gave us two fans, which were barely enough to cool the room sufficiently for sleeping in the evening.

Very good location right near a train station on the main line. Adequate breakfast. However we were woken up early on 2 of the 3 nights we stayed by noisy (garbage?) workers in the area below our window. Pillows were too soft but found this type in quite a few of the hotels we stayed at in Europe.

My daughter and I stayed at the Pension Arian for seven days. Our double room was a nice size. It had two bunk size beds pushed together, but the manager told us we could shift the furniture if we wanted. There was an excellent bathroom with a shower with plenty of hot water. There was a wonderful breakfast provided that had a menu to suit my daughter who is vegan, and my typical American taste as well. They provided a computer for internet use by guests in a private area. It was all good except that the price listed by Venere was a minimum of $99 and a maximum of $119. We accepted the hotel's out of the inner city location because we thought we were getting the $99 per night rate. Venere emailed that the rate would be $99 per night. The emailed confirmation from the hotel listed a total for the week. I didn't notice the price was actually $116 per night until we were actually in the hotel, and I read the rate card on the back of the room's door. Mea culpa for not reading my contract more closely and doing the math, but It felt like bait and switch. To make it worse, when I asked the hotel manager about it, he said the misunderstanding was an error on the part of Venere, and took no responsibility. The features were all as shone on Venere except the price.

The staff were friendly, kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel is near all transportation and within walking distance to shopping and many sights. We were very well. Onli notice: the path from entrance of building (stairs and lift) to door of hotel is quite different, in appareance, than hotel itself. But quality of hotel and surroundings is eccellent (.Mariahilfer Strasse is the main shopping street of Wien.

We would definitely recommend the Arian to anyone visting Vienna. The room was spacious, super clean and had newer furniture. The property is in a central location and within walking distance to shopping and many sights. Easy access to subway and a quick bus ride to train station south/sud bahnhof. Excellent value for price gives this property top marks!

We couldn't have found a better place. It was convenient, clean, near all transportation. The people went out of their way to make sure that our stay was as perfect as can be. We would highly recommend our friends to stay there. The elevator is definitely out of the "20's" and worth the price.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Arian. The staff were friendly and helpful and their restaurant recommendations proved well worth following up. The hotel is on a busy shopping street near the Museum Quarter and other central tourist attractions.

The room was a bit noisy. If we had gotten a room not facing Mariahilfer strasse, our rating would have been better. Anyway, next time we will choose Arian again.
