It is the first time I visited Vienna as well as staying in Hotel Allegro. The reason I chose this hotel is that it is close to South station where I can take an early train to Venice. The hotel staffs are friendly and helpful but the people of the surrounding areas are not so, especially the people at the cafe near the train station closed to Hotel Allergo. I have not spent enough time in Vienna, so I cannot comment more than I should. I will choose other hotel to stay if I visit Vienna again.

We had a great time in Vienna and the Allegro Hotel played a big part in our enjoyment of this wonderful city. The hotel was very clean and everything was in order. The front desk employees were all very friendly and helpful and did their best to make our stay enjoyable. The location of the hotel was a few steps from transportation (eight minutes to the historic area on Vienna's excellent tram system), and if you can't afford to stay right in the "old town" area, this is the next best thing. The (included) breakfast buffet was excellent and started the busy day off right!

My wife and I were in Vienna, for a conference, for the first time. The directions to the hotel from the airport and the prices were up to date. Hotel is in a very convenient location for central Vienna and to the airport. It is right across the metro/train station. Although our room was facing the road to the station (good view) there was no noise in the room. We had very nice breakfasts every day, food quality, variety and service was good. Prompt room service. Last day they kept our luggage while we shopped (all day long). There are small food stores around the hotel (walking distance), even at late night and on Sundays. We had long walks at night with no problems in the streets. A coffee maker would be good in the room, but its absence was already mentioned in the WEB page, no surprises. Complementary items such as shoe cloth, plastic bag etc. were missing in the room. Internet (cable and wireless) is available at the lounge.

This hotel is just opposite a tram and S-Bahn station and therefore is transport to the city center and attractions is easy. We were placed in a big room (the biggest in the hotel) with three windows and view from two sides. The hotel surrounding is rather noisy due to near highways. The receptionists looked rather indifferent but they were generally polite. The breakfast was good and there was free internet access. I generally enjoyed staying in this hotel.

We stayed in a triple room. Very spacious and clean. Breakfast was of good quality. Free internet access in the lobby. Very easy to get to from the nearest tram station. The reception staff were friendly and helpful (except for one miserable woman - a reflection on her herself and not the rest of the staff!). The location itself is nothing special, but being on the tram line, it's very easy and quick to get into the centre of Vienna.

I and my wife got to the hotel late at night, but a receptionist put a verb in it without a reproachful look. A big and comfortable room gave us a relaxed atmosphere. We are satisfied with all services provided by the hotel.

We were booked for 3 nights,we stayed one and left. The traffic noise meant you could not open windows and the airconditioning was poor. Definitely overrated based on the information on the website, and not 3 star.

I think you shouldn't permit smokers INSIDE the hotel, in the hall or in the breakfast hall.

We stayed in a triple at the front of the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. It even had a small kitchenette complete with sink, stove, refrigerator, dishes, and cookware! The staff was helpful and accomodating. The tram and metro were right across the street making it quick and easy to get to city center. The only drawback was the noise from the street which made sleeping difficult!

The rooms were fine, but the corridors were really in a very poor state. The paintwork was terrible and things looked very dated indeed. If there is refurbishment going on perhaps some signs to indicate this would be a good idea. But the location and breakfast were fine too.
