It is a high class hotel where I have been many times already and where I will certainly return. It is in the heart of Vienna and very close to the underground transportation. The staff is nice and ready to help.

Wonderful location but somewhat unfriendly staff. When I pay 25 euros for breakfast I expect freshly squeezed juice, ripe fruit and unchipped china!

An excellent hotel right in the heart of Vienna. Beautiful rooms, a very nice place to stay. Some of the rooms at the top floor cannot be reached by elevator.

My first trip to Vienna with my wife. Excelent stay in Hotel Ambassador. It's a real 5* hotel, but without the "high society behavior" of hotels like the Sacher. We would come back anytime.

This is an ideal location for Vienna. Most attractions are within an easy walk and access to public transport is also good.We did not bother with the expensive hotel breakfast as there were several fantastic cafes nearby that were far better. Some of the better restaurants (eg Do & Co)need to be booked in advance and were great.

Se trata de un hotel de 5 estrellas, muy bien situado, pero no habia ascensor para llegar a la habitacion. Tuvimos que subir el equipaje nostros mismos por un tramo de escalera. INCREIBLE!!!!!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Its situation is ideal, the staff are excellent, breakfast fine, etc. I would recommend it without hesitation and would definitely stay there again.

Perfect location, within walking distance to Stadt (State) Opera House, other major attractions, and wonderful restaurants. Hotel staff friendly and extremely competent. Our room had a crystal chandelier, wood floors, and windows that opened. Marble baths, thick, fluffy robes, and complimentary "Ambassador Wien" slippers. (Didn't know until I got there that "Wien" means "Vienna.")

This is an excellent choice for the exigent traveller. I'm a single mother travelling with two teenagers, boy and girl. They gave us two very spacious, nice and elegant rooms, one nex to the other and comunicated. Maybe the restaurant and the breakfast could be better, but they were ok and the restaurant staff was very nice. I arrive driving and they have a good service of valet parking, a litle expensive but they take away and back the car when you need it, after some minutes but you can ask for it in advance. Most of all you can need is very near from the hotel, just steps away. I will stay in the Ambassador hotel when I come back to Viena.

My first time in Vienna. Can't beat the location. I paid 170 Euros in late April which was very reasoble for a spot right on Kartner Strasse. However, it's not a luxury hotel at all. I am not sure it warants the 400+ Euro rate they charge in more peak times. My bathroom had an old leak stain above the light fixture which somewhat speaks of the attention to detail. Overall the stay was pleasant. Again, the location is its key selling point.

The staff was very helpful and anticipated your requirements. They recommended a wonderful restaurant for the evening meal the first night. It was in a wonderful location and very convenient to all public transport.

The hotel is right in the middle of the shopping area of Vienna. Perfect for shopping! It's a bit old fashioned - but high quality at a very reasonable price. I had a super big two room suite - unfortunately all but 1 of the pay-per-view movies were in German syncronised.

Excellent location - pricey - but worth every cent We were in room 224 - corner balcony room - amazing - only drawback was the crooning of the late night crowd one night. The staff was excellent and helpful. The location is tough to find with a car - which we had - once there you are in the thick of Vienna and do not need one - Did not eat there - expensive - but also a full collection of food at your doorstep outside. The internet was useful. Would go to Vienna and this Hotel again!

The staff at Ambassador Hotel are very friendly and helpful. My husband and I were greatly relieved when we had instant confirmation of our reservation with Ambassador Hotel, especially when it was a last-minute reservation.

I had asked for 5-star hotels only. This hotel does not qualify for more than a 3-star. There is no lobby, the restaurants are not attractive, and personel is not knowledgeable.

The Hotel is in the center of the touristic area (pedestrial area). Ideal situation for sightseen and restaurants. Staff was efficient but not really smily. The hotel is more a 4+ than a 5 stars but overall good quality for price except the expensive breakfast (but you can find many bakery around).

To whom it may concern. When using the Venere website - It was so easy and clear to see the hotel info and prices . To have the booking sent by email and sms was excellent. The hotel was 100% aware of the guaranteed rate and I thank you for such an easy to use and professional booking process. Simon Carter England

We loved this hotel! It couldn't have been in a better location and was very, very nice -- especially considering the price. We would definitely stay there again if in Vienna and would absolutely recommend it to anyone planning a trip there.

We had a great stay in Vienna and the Ambassador was everything the reviews said it was so thank you. Beds really comfortable, lovely bathroom with hot powerful shower, beautiful rooms, great location 5 minutes from Opera House. We paid a good price but ate breakfast outside hotel as all drinks and food in the hotel, as you would expect, were very pricey. Only one negative, they made a lousy cup of tea which wasn't the case everywhere else we went in Vienna. The staff are their defining feature I think, without exception they were all really helpful and friendly, and we felt they couldn't do enough to help us.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was efficient and the hotel is very well managed and maintained. We did not use the breakfast because we thought that 20 euros was a little too much for what we wanted . There are many choices nearby. The location is superb, yet quiet. We will stay there again if we can get the same good rate, 170 euros.

Super hotel in excellent location within walking distance of most tourist attractions and just a step on to the street where you can shop 'til you drop!! We had an excellent room, very spacious. It would have been nice to have had tea-making facilities!

Nice place, if a little pricey. Location is perfect--as close as you can get to the middle of everything. It's actually a very nice hotel; a little fancier (and pricier) than a single traveler really needs for a weekend. If I were to do it again, I'd probably pay a good deal less and stay a little farther out (I think there are several lower-priced, less fancy hotels still well within walking distance of the city center). But if you want to have a romantic weekend in a high-class hotel in the heart of Vienna without paying the exorbitant rates of the five star places, the Ambassador is where you want to go.

We do apologize for the late response. We were very satisfied with all, apart from this Italian tosser who worked in the bar and was pratically begging for a tip. Does not suit such an establishment.

An excellent hotel in a wonderful location. Staff were always helpful and knowlegable when directions or advice re restaurants, concerts, museums or transport was required. Difficult to drive to by car if one doesn't know the city well because of one-way traffic system in city.

The hotel was excellent as was the staff. During our stay we had several problems: dropping the key down the elevator shaft. The hotel was gracious whenever we needed access and after a short period of time returned the key to us. It was reassuring that there were no other keys. Subsequently, I broke my ankle. The hotel contacted a doctor who was there within a half hour. The concern of the staff was very genuine. The room, bathroom and bed were fabulously clean and quiet. I would highly recommend the hotel to friends.

We stayed at the Ambassador for 11 nights in September and found it perfect. The location is great -- their "back door" opens onto Karntnerstrasse, a big pedestrian street with lots of outdoor cafes, strolling musicians and good shopping. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful and speak excellent English; they give you a map and other information upon checkin. The rooms are lovely; room service is excellent. Vienna is so full of things to do that we didn't see nearly enough. We took tours to Prague, Budapest and Salzburg -- use Royal Tours (royaltours.at) for small groups and great guides. You can walk many places from the Ambassador but if you want, you can take the metro, about a block away at St. Stephen's. Very clean and easy to navigate. If you stay at the Ambassador, check out the little church directly across the street in front; you will be amazed at what's in the basement. Email the Ambassador and they will make arrangements to have a car pick you up at the airport (group of 5 with lots of luggage for 85 euros). There is limited internet access; ask at the desk for the key to the Business Center. You can use it for a short time for free. It was a little inconvenient but we did not see much internet access on the street so it worked well to quickly check on things back home. We would definitely stay at the Ambassador again!

The room was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom had the toilet in its own room with a window which my husband loved. Our room had a terrace as well which was unexpected. The hotel is very central and so close to the Stephansdom which served as a beacon for us. We couldn't get lost. Will definitely stay there again.

L'hotel Ambassador è uno dei migliori della città, situato in una posizione fantstica. La camera era bella e spaziosa quanto una stanza di museo! Il prezzo di Venere era meno della metà del prezzo di listino, quindi ottima intermediazione!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Ambassador. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times, and the finishing touch were the chocolates and birthday wishes left in our room on my birthday. The hotel is wonderfully located for sightseeing, shopping and eating. We will definitely be back.
