This apartment was very central and ideal for sightseeing, as we could return whenever we wanted to rest or eat, or just to cool off - it was very hot and the air-conditioning in every room was bliss! The amenities were excellent and even included a coffee maker. As two older women, we would have liked a better second bed - the one provided was more suitable for a child. Our hosts provided excellent directions for finding the apartment and for restaurants in the area and were wonderfully hospitable and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this apartment especially for couples.

I'm not sure this location could be any better! The owners are wonderful and accommodating, they helped us find restaurants and told us which local fruit and grocery markets would best serve our needs. I traveled with my Aunt and Uncle, they got the bedroom and I was on a cot in the seating area - surprisingly comfortable! We found everything we needed to prepare meals, I loved having the small refrigerator for leftovers and milk for my morning cereal and coffee. My first cup of coffee that is, after that I went downstairs to the coffee bar for a caffe' machiato! The views are interesting and fun, walking to the Piazza San Marco is easy, the bathroom was fine... my only precautions are: tuck the bottom of the shower curtain into the shower, so the water runs into the shower and not on the bathroom floor (duh, right? but, my uncle had a problem with this for some reason), and you'll probably bump your head on the beam over the stove and sink if you're over 5 feet 6 inches tall, and even if you take the elevator there will be some steps to climb. Small prices to pay for such a wonderful stay in Venice.

We loved this place. It wasn't cheap, but then, it's Venice, and by Venetian standards, it was more than reasonable for what you get. The apartment was clean and cheerful, and very centrally located--it was a perfect home base for exploring Venice. It's not large--fairly close quarters for three people--but we didn't go to Venice to hang around inside, anyway. The kitchen was stocked with basic things like olive oil and other condiments, which was nice. We were able to save a lot of money by eating in for at least two meals a day. We had a lot of luggage and I was traveling with my elderly mom and young kid, so we took a water taxi from the train station, which I recommend if you're in a similar situation. Expensive, but we considered it our gondola ride (noisier and less charming than a gondola, but the same view, and it saved us a lot of trouble in terms of lugging our bags through the streets while trying to find the apartment); it was a great way to arrive. The apartment office staff were really friendly and helpful, and let us use their internet as often as we liked during business hours (it was in the office down one floor from the apartment). There is an elevator, but you do have to also take a staircase, fyi. (If you're in Venice in the first place, though, you have to be ok with stairs anyway!) The AC worked beautifully, which is not always the case in Italy. I would definitely stay in this apartment again, and would recommend it to anyone who wants a clean, nice, centrally located, well-appointed, not-too-large apartment in Venice.

Although located in "downtown" Venice this apartment felt as if it was in a quiet residential neighborhood. It is on an upper floor with views out over the tiled roofs in two direction and in another down onto a canal well used by gondoliers. Its not particulary luxurious but exceeded our expectations in comfort and cleanliness and did not have that seedy overly-used feel. It is well appointed for a visit. Beware of mosquitos though. If there in summer we recommend leaving the windows closed and using the A/C. The owner lives in the building and is very charming and helpful.

This is a nice, clean, quiet apartment in a good location and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Everything worked, including the AC, which was a blessing when you're trying to sleep and it's still very hot out. The price is a bit high, but we were in Venice in July, so I think that's to be expected.

First of all I apologize for my bad English language. However I should leave the impressions about visiting. So on points: 1. A magnificent site: Up to the San Marco square of 3 minutes, up to bridge Rialto - 5 minutes, up to the bridge of Academy - 10 minutes. You are the center of Venice and you can reach any necessary place quickly and without problems. If you wish to visit nearby islands, up to the central stop of a sailing charter (behind the San Marco square) also all about 10 minutes. Also a number is inexpensive restaurants and shops. 2. Magnificent equipment of apartments: there is everything, even a washing machine. Three person of a place is quite enough for accommodation. Little bit low ceiling of kitchen, but if you not above 180 sm you do not will notice this. Sometimes it is a little noisy, but slightly. Very benevolent mistress Valeria. My opinion, that the price of apartments completely corresponds to given services. At last I wish to give advice. We were in Venice 4 days. It is not enough. If you wish to look really Venice and though slightly to feel its inhabitant, come at least for a week. Believe, you never will regret about it!!

Brilliant. The staff gave clear directions to help us find the apartment and made us very welcome. Location was great, very close to the centre yet quiet. The apartment was clean, tidy and well equipped. It was good to have a haven in the heart of Venice for a peaceful siesta and for snacks/coffee without paying St Marks Square prices!

Excellent Excellent place to stay in Venice. We are recommending it to every friend with plans to visit Venice. It is perfect for a couple or a single traveller, or maybe one child. The apartment is clean and well appointed, but be ready for a few mosquitos here in Venice! The bed was a bit small and soft-ish for my taste, but it was nice. I just prefer a harder bed. It's probably medium. Kitchen is small but well stocked, owners very helpful and knowledgable. They allowed us to use their internet connection in their office, provided good directions to places, were very helpful. Place has some views, main view is of a canal and an alleyway (not a main drag). View out the bathroom window is over rooftops, and can see St. Marks (I think this is right). Very nice to hear the singing gondoliers through the open windows, but also sometimes the drunk tourists (this is the middle of the city, after all). The drunk gondoliers, however, alone make the trip worthwhile. I don't mean to say it's a noisy place, but it's not quiet either. We loved it.

Superbly located for the sights, yet manages to remain quiet and relaxed. Not great for tall people who want to use the kitchen facilities! Good, clean accomodation.

Wow what a superb apartment. Location: 2 mins from St Marks Square and 5 mins from Rialto Bridge. Excellent restaurants and shops at your fingertips. Apartment: Fantastically equipped and clean. Towels, Bedlinen, Microwave, Washing Machine, Fridge, TV + Video. All in working order. Apartment accommodates 3 people beautifully. Owner: Was there there to great us, had emails prior to visit, was helpful and friendly. Recommendation: Already recommending to friends and relatives who are looking to visit Venice. PS Bring mosquito repellent as did have a few bites due to Venice being on water!!!!! But these were nothing compared to the absolutely fabulous time we had. Thank You Valeria Barbieri for a wonderful apartment!

A truly great place to stay. Right in the heart of Venice. Only two minutes walk to St Marco and 5 minutes to Rialto. The appartment was modern, fully equiped and clean. It was great to be able to prepare a quick pasta lunch on our arrival. The staff were extremely accomodating and really made us feel welcome. This is the only way to stay in Venice. We would not hesitate recommending this apartment and would love to come back.

The staff of this apartment were extremely helpful in every way. They met us upon our arrival, provided us with recommendations to restaurants and offered suggestions about how to get around Venice and sites to see. We felt very well taken care of. The kitchen was well-stocked with all of the cooking utensils and cleaning equipment needed, they even had english videos and books. We would definitely return.

The apartment is a good find for someone wanting more than a hotel room. The price is high, but reasonable considering we were travelling in high season. We would have liked to know the exact location so we could have had the water taxi drop us off infront of the palazzo instead of St. Mark's boat dock. We would consider this place again.

Wow - what a wonderful place. Litterally a stones throw to Piazza San Marco. The rooms were simple but very nice; and it was great to have a kitchen. You can't beat this location and price combination. The staff was amazing!!! I will stay here again!!!
