This was our first time in Venice. Prior to arrival, I took the explicit directions someone else had posted on Venere.com and highlighted our route to the Hotel Ariel Silva, where we checked in, and to the apartments. Without that detailed map, I am certain we would have gotten lost. Italy is not known for building in easy grid patterns or marking their streets well! We very much enjoyed our stay at these apartments. We were in the top floor attaic apartment, which was a very healthy climb as there is no lift, but it was quiet and had a nice breeze. It was on the small side, but workable. There was an annex room with a twin bed, but it had a very low ceiling - if your third person is a child, they will be thrilled with their fort-like space! There were plenty of electric outlets, a small kitchen (which we did not use), air conditioning (which we also did not use), and maid service daily. The only drawback is that there was no phone, other than the door buzzer system. The concierge at the Hotel Ariel Silva was very helpful with directions. Also, they were kind enough to let us check out the night before and leave the key on the table, as we needed to go in the other direction in the morning. When we did leave, it was a mere 10 minute walk to the Fond Nord water taxi port, with only a couple of bridges to cross, and from there it was a 25 minute boat ride to the airport. All in all, it was a very convenient location and a lovely stay. We would definitely stay there again.

The room that was offered to us were at the top floor and without lift. The room was clean but being the top floor the height of the door to the kitchen was too low which made us bump our head several times while entering and coming out of the kitchen. Checkin takes place in Hotel Ariel Silva as written in other reviews earlier and keys are obtained there for the room which is no-where mentioned in the website. The power went off several times possibly due to some overloading issues as two flats were tied up on the same power-line.I had to call up Hotel Ariel Silva at mid-night once in order to sort out the issue which was attended by them cordially. Overall, it's ok for three people to stay for a day or two.

The adverstisement fo the aprtment was a litle misleading becasue it really doesn't fit six people that well. Getting to the Hotel Ariel Silva was difficult because I had not been to Venice before. A little bit more detail on getting to both locations (the Hotel and the apartment)would be helpful.

You should include in your factsheet of the apartment that check-in takes place at Hotel Ariel Silva, about 15 minutes walk from the apartment. Location wise, going by the water bus Line 1 from the Santa Lucia train station, it is very convenient. But at 6 euros each passenger, it is way overpriced for such a short distance. Also, it would be easier for your users if you included directions on how to get to the apartment. The map provided on your website is a lousy depiction of the its location. The apartment did not have hot water in the shower, only cold water. I called up the hotel and was told to leave the water running for a while and the hot water would come on, but I did not want to waste more water after 15 minutes - we still did not have hot water. I ended up having a cold shower. Very unpleasant.

Our biggest complaint is that we had to struggle to obtain information about our booking. The whereabouts of the apartment was difficult to establish. I sent numerous emails and made telephone calls prior to our holiday as I was concerned about the lack of information. I was unaware that when we got to Venice it would be necessary to register at the Hotel Ariel Silva and obtain a key from there. I didn't know the address of the hotel. If the procedure on arrival had been made clear we would have been spared time, effort and worry. We were pleased with the apartment's location and felt it was reasonably priced. It was clean and comfortable. One point worth noting - the poor standard of its electrical installation which, in my view, was hazardous. We opted not to use the cooker for our own safety.

The room is nice and furnitures are new but there is not telephone and the fridge is in the same room of the bed. Anyway it is situated in a wonderful place near the center of the city, just 5 mins far away from S.Marco Square and near streets plenty of nice shops, bars, restaurants and supermrket. Its also 10 mins far away from the train station. We really liked it.

The kitchen facilies where not good. The stove couldn't be turn off - you had to unplug it. There was only one good pot in the kitchen wear one or two more would have been helpful. The view was wonderful and the location as well. With a little lesser price it would have been perfect. The bathroom and the service was excellent.

It doesn't say but you have to go to a hotel down the road to get the keys before you can get in. The staff are exceptionally friendly. Highly reccommended!

It should be mentioned that the appartment house is away from the hotel and reception area. Its not easely to find the location.
