We arrived in Sorrento by train and were met in Piazza Tasso by a member of staff. We were promised that Tina would be there in 10-15 minutes to go through the "check". She actually turned up about an hour later! She seemed pleased to have given us an "upgrade" to a two room apartment, but we specifically chose a one room apartment with an area to sit outside, which is what we like to do when we are on holiday. The two room apartment was on the second floor, hence no room to sit outside. We were not happy with this and asked to be moved but we were told that all the one room apartments were now taken. We were therefor stuck with the second floor apartment for the whole week. The toilet seat was completely broken and was hanging on with one screw, although they were very good in getting it mended within a couple of hours. The shower head was also broken, but my husband managed to fix it with a nail file! One of the bedside lamps was missing its shade and was hanging off the wall. One of the windows in the bedroom did not lock so we had to keep the outside shutter down. The shower was a power shower - the shower tray was very shallow and the water did not go down quick enough, so you had to have half a shower, turn the shower off to wait for the water to go down, and then you could have the other half a shower. If you got up after about 9.30am there was not hot water.
SORRENTO IS WONDERFUL, BUT THIS ACCOMMODATION WAS NOT! We will definitely return again, but will not use this accommodation.

Our apartment was located in the heart of Sorrento. It could not have been a more perfect location. From the minute of our arrival in the Naples airport to our departure, the staff were excellent. Not only that, we had a surprise when we arrived. We had made arrangements for a one room apartment but were given a two room apartment at no extra charge. The additional space made our stay much more comfortable.
I would also like to send a very special thank you to Tina. Your help and kindness were very much appreciated.
I will visit Sorrento again and when I do I will make sure to make my arrangements with Area Vacanze (Piazza Tasso).

The welcome given by Tina, the on-site manager was warm and efficient - she escorted us from the offices to the apartment and even showed us to the nearest parking.
The property was a superb central location. Fittings were all new and in good condition.
Only small critisism was lack of some kitchen equipment, but as we were centrally located we intended to eat out most of the time.

It is hard to imagine a noisier location. Street noise was horrible and the metal blinds were not working (stuck halfway) so it was impossible to shut out midday sun, street noise or morning light. Noise from upstairs neighbors maddening... parties with metal chairs dragged across tile all night. And the futon (bed) was actually painful. My worst Venere experience ever.

Apartment was clean. Bathroom could have been cleaner especially the shower. Also shower filled up with water.
Biggest disappointment was that the sheets or towels were not changed during the whole week. Web site stated there was a washing room downstairs but the room was locked.
Also, we had no call from Tina during our stay to check that everything was OK.
Location was excellent.
This was our second visit in 3 years.

We were contacted a week before our holiday and told our original apartment in the central Piazza Tasso was not available, and would we accept a replacement for the same price. Although the emails with pictures and descriptions of the replacement did not get through to us, we agreed to trust them (!) and go ahead with the replacement apartment.
When we arrived, the replacement was further away from the train station than the original, however only by a couple of minutes walk. The replacement was great - we had twice as much room as we were expecting in the original, and the location meant that the noise we would have heard at the central square was somewhat reduced, though the replacement apartment was still in the middle of town. We were very pleased with it all, though be aware that there are two large flights of stairs to climb!
Tina, the coordinator, was brilliant and understanding when we reaslised we had failed to turn up with any cash, and subsequently even more tolerant when our attempts to withdraw said cash resulted in us triggering a First Direct "security override" which meant she had to wait another day for the money.
I highly recommend this apartment to anyone apart from the disabled or frail (stairs and no lift), and would also recommend our favourite restaurant Trattatoria Emilia in the old fishing port/quay in Sorrento (it is in the Michelin guide and is incredibly good and amazingly cheap- though very busy).

The location is great just off the main square. The apartment is new. There is no problem with street noise but the walls are thin which wasn't a problem while we were there but could be. Overall a good place to stay and great value for the money

The flat was in a good location, impossible to find at first had to phone the office for directions but Tina came out straight away. no grill or toaster, didn't change the towels in the 7 days we were there, there was a washing facility in the basement though. Air conditioning was noisy, really enjoyed the location so close to everything. it cost 60Euro to park for the 7 nights in a manned car park and it's only a 5 miniute walk via the short cut which Tina showed us, there's just nowhere to park around the apartment.would use it again but would ask for a rear apartment.

It was in the heart of Sorrento - within walking distance of everything! It was very comfortable for our family of 4. The beds were also comfortable. The room was quiet, facing a terrace area.
The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help when we had questions.
The only downside was the same as 50% of the showers we encountered in our several weeks of travel in Italy - the shower leaked onto the floor.
We'd definately stay here again!

Good value for money though if you want a balcony with an interesting view you have to put up with a lot of traffic noise. The quieter room with a (disused) building site outside the window was a good option in April. The managers and staff were excellent, helpful, welcoming and quick to respond to requests for help when I fused all the lights! I shall go back.

Very good value.
I wanted a single flat with 1 bedroom for us and a sofa bed for the kids, but could not do this online. When we got there you were very helpful so this was not a problem, but perhaps you might like to reconsider how you do the automatic online booking.

My family (2 Adults and 2 Children ages 9 and 12) really enjoyed our stay in Residence Tasso. We stayed for 4 nights. The location is excellent very central with a short walk to the main Piazza Tasso and the buses. The train station was about a 5 minute walk. Tina from Area Vacanze was very helpful and provided a wealth of information about Sorrento and the surrounding areas. We were in apartment 9 on the 4th floor of Residence Tasso. The apartment was big enough for us with a lovely balcony over looking the street. The traffic going up and down the street is very busy at times but there was no problem with noise. The weather was very moderate in April so we didn't need to use the heating or cooling. I can't really say how well these worked. The girls slept on the fold out sofa bed and my wife and I slept in the double bed in the bedroom. The kitchen facilities were sufficient. We like our toast for breakfast and a toaster would have been handy. We used a fry pan on the stove instead. The full size refrigerator was good for storing drinks and food for making sandwiches. The prices in Sorrento are geared towards tourists and were expensive for our Australian dollars so we did our own lunches. We also ordered takeaway from the restaurant next door to the apartment. They do really nice pizzas cooked in a wood fired oven. We bought a bottle of wine from the Supermarket which is only 3 minutes walk away. The Shower was a tight sqeeze to get into. The hot water service was also small so there were no long hot showers or the next person would have a cold shower.
I would definetly use these apartments again the next time I return to Sorrento.

Some repair in the bathroom was promised , but not done. In summary it was not a high price and not a high service. But for stayiny in beautiful Sorrent it was ok. The appartement is directly at the piazza Tasso. The apartements to the street are loud.

Very satisfied with the apartment. VERY conveniently located; clean, quiet, everything that we required. Only disappointment - the shower; - doors came off; leak half way up, and base filled up quickly.

Great location - in the middle of Sorrento, near the train station, main shopping area. Very quiet as it is in the back of the building. Ample cooking utensils. Free use of washing machine. Great service - we ran out of propane on the first night (7pm) and someone was there within the hour to replace the tank.

The apartment that sleeps 4 is a little small for 3 adults (and a 2-year old), but not stiflingly so (there are indeed 2 double beds, though one is a futon in the living/dining/kitchen area). But that's not a big problem when you're out and about most of the time anyway. It's located on the 2nd floor and there is a lift... there is no terrace (as shown in the photos for the apartment that sleeps 2), but there is a small balcony that looks out on the street below. The only major problem for me (though not for my other 2 roommates) was the street noise... cars seemed to be constantly whizzing by (on a very tiny street!) and even with the outer metal shades completely closed, the noise was still loud enough to keep me awake. My roommates also complained of the lack of heat in their room on the first night. But we called the manager the next morning and she had someone there within a half hour with a space heater. She also met us at the train station and drove our bags to the apartment... we walked, since it was only about 5 minutes (or less) away. So in general, service was very prompt and accommodating. The location is excellent... right in the center of town, with a nice little outdoor cafe/bar/patisserie/gelateria right on the corner. There are also plenty of groceries and markets nearby, which will come in handy because you'll probably have to buy your own toilet paper (we were left with only one partial roll).
Sorrento itself is VERY touristy, but there are some charming shops and restaurants (in fact, the best meal I had in all of Italy was in Sorrento... can't remember the name of the place, but it was off the main streets, and had "tavern" or "taverna" in its name, I think. Anyway, the penne pasta with aubergines was exquisite!). While you're there, be sure to take the bus ride along the coast to Amalfi... the scenery (and the ride itself!) is breathtaking. Buses leave from the train station, where you can buy tickets (less than 5 Euros) from the

This was both mine and my girlfriend's favorite place that we stayed at during our travels through Italy. The room was wonderful, the service was great, and their correspondence through email was fantastic to both me and my parents. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay.

Nice little studio apartment with a balcony looking at the Bay of Naples, very charming. Great price, centrally and convienetly located. One down side was that there was some street noise and the floors are tile, so that you know whenever the upstairs neighbor moves a chair or table. Very comfortable and a nice plus to have small refrigerator/kitchen. Nice group of ladies that seem to run the place.

The only real problem we had with the apartment was the bathroom area. The shower would overflow because it only had a shower curtain around a small base. This was a problem because the floor in the bathroom was not equipped with a drain - so the water would pool and not soak away. There were no mop facilities available and the cleaner (although she came in a few times) did not mop up the water. We ended up using our towels.
In addition, toilet paper was not supplied after the first roll. We bought our own and then had one roll "taken" by the cleaner. The company, however, were very good and helped us thoroughly. They showed us where the nearest parking lot was and also supplied us a kettle when asked.
