We stayed at the Casa Degli Equi in December. It's a lovely little flat overlooking the street with a good sized kitchen. It's in a very interesting area of Rome with its own history. Not many tourists seem to know about the San Lorenzo Quarter, which is a shame because it's well worth a wander around, but is still near enough to the action in Rome be a 10-minute walk to Termini.
It's on the same street as some great restaurants, from the very posh, fine dining - Uno e Bino - to the traditional trattorias. The area is quite studenty, with lots of bars so it is not the quietest place to stay. But while it's lively it is not so loud you won't be able to get to sleep. Next door there is a gelato which serves the most wonderful ice cream, too! We had a great time. It is a good place to base yourself on a trip to Rome and we'll stay there again. Marco, who owns the apartment, is very friendly and helpful too.

2-room-appt. of which one room stayed locked up so we coudln't use it! Very dirty refrigerator, floors and bathtub. Street very loud at night. Restaurant terrace right under the appartment. But it is an area whit lot's of bars, clubs, restaurants etc. so a certain level of loudness has to be accepted.

un apartamento genial, cerca de la estacion principal termini. en un barrio muy peculiar y autentico (aunque la primera impresion parece mala del barrio despues ves que la gente es muy acojedora y el barrio fantastico). apartamento lipio y cuidado, nos sentimos como en nuestra propia casa. volveria.

very nice stay, with a personal touch at a reasonable price. Located in San Lorenzo, behind Termini Central Station where you catch the metro to get to Rome's many sightseeing things.

nice appartment 10 minutes walk from termini station. Buses and tramways closer to the area ( called san lorenzo). Well furnished, got a kitchennette which allows you to prepare some dishes ( breakfast, light supper).University surrounding area, so full of youth, great atmosphere, restaurants and bars.
