Apartment Navona (129) - Rome

When we arrived at the address for the apartment "Navona 129", there were no representatives for the apartment. We called the phone number attached to the registration paper and came to Rome-Sweet-Home, who was the actual rental agency. Navona 129 was not available and we got another apartment 400 m away. I asked why we hadn't been informed about the correct address by a phone call or SMS, and Rome-Sweet-Home replied that it was impossible because we had arranged the rental through Venere. I think that Venere should improve their communication with sub-agencies. After all, when I leave my phone number to Venere, I expect to be notified about a change in apartment address.

We were not placed in the apartment that we viewed online, but we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom. The apartment was ok, but not what we expected. The heat wasn't working at first, and then it was too hot. Difficult to regulate and figure out which was a drag. We were met at our apartment on time, but we were not left with any info. It would have been so helpful to have a map and a list of supermarkets, restaurants, bus and train info, etc. When we called about the heat, they sent someone over right away and the next day, we received the welcome letter we were supposed to have. The neighborhood was great, but we were very close to a nightclub with late hours. It would not have been a problem if I didn't have to open the window because the apartment had gotten too hot! Havind said all this, we might consider staying there again because the price was right, great location, and we would stay on top of heating problems with more communication with reps.

The 129 Navona apartment location was changed so we actually stayed at Via di Monte Brianzo(an excellent location). Everything was in walking distance, but it's in a more quite area. Danielle in the office was a delight. She was always willing to be very helpful.

The apartments were spacious, clean and well equipped. They were centrally located so we could see many sights. We found the management staff to be helpful, courteous and very professional. The only problem that we encountered was that the elevator (lift) was not up to speed upon our arrival. It was taken out of operation on the second day of our visit. The equipment was old and we learned from the repair personnel that parts and a motor had been ordered previously and were in fact delivered when the elevator was taken out of service. It is our feeling that the owners of the property should have informed Venere.com and Home Sweet Rome that the elevators were in need of repair. As stated earlier, it is our opinion that Venere.com and Home Sweet Rome were not informed of the unsafe conditions. It was obvious from the time of our check in, from the signs posted at each elevator door and warnings from other inhabitants that this had been a long ongoing problem. For 4, almost 70-year-old, visitors walking 5 flights (131 steps) of a marble circular staircase, to say the least is difficult. The property owners should be admonished regarding their willingness to deceive potential clients in order to rent the units. Again these statements are intended to reflect poorly upon the property owners but not upon Venere.com or Home Sweet Rome who were extremely and did everything within their power to assist us with this problem.

We stayed for 4 nights on Piazza delle Coppelle in the top floor appartement. it was a very nice appartement, the roof terrace was perfect and the rooms were very nice and clean. The location was perfect, between Piazza Navona and Pantheon on a little square with market in the morning and restaurants and vinothekas at night. the atmosphere was amazing. It was like living in a roman home! we stayed there with 3 people, so one slept on the sofabed in the living room, that can be a little noisy at night from the piazza, but the bedroom was quiet. I highly recommend it to everyone.
