The apartment was reasonably well maintained, cooking facilities, crockery and refrigerator were provided which were much appreciated, this was a definite advantage. Some lights did not work and the bulbs had to be changed. Linen was changed every three days which in the summer months was a little long and as the temperature climbed in Prague one would have preferred a daily change. The apartment was centrally located which was another advantage, it was just a stroll away from the old town and many of the most interesting sights. A 30 minute walk would bring you to the castle overlooking the city. Our concern related to misleading advertising, however, because on the Venere.com web page it says clearly that a free shuttle service to and from the train station is offered, and that all credit cards are accepted. Management told us in no uncertain terms that the shuttle service was 'not free' and we were asked to pay for our stay in cash when I would have preferred to use a credit card. Management was well aware of the misleading advertising but seemed rather indifferent, perhaps even flippant, in regard to the consequences. From my own experience of post-Communist economies I put this down to the spirit of 'wild west' capitalism that has developed in these countries where irresponsible advertising can be a problem. If they want to advertise on this web site management should be be more responsible.

The location is very good, just next door to the Wenceslas Square. However, our stay would be more pleasant if the crockery and cuttlery, as well as drawers were cleaner - we had to wash up everythink we wanted to use because some items were rather dirty. There are lots of dried seasoning, but all out of the best-before date by 3 years. It'd be very helpful if they had an oven (they have a microwave instead). The bath is small even for one person - and I'm very short! - and you might soak the floor if you want to have a shower, because there is no shower curtain.
However, the worst of all is the surroundings - inside the building. It looks disgusting, it's very dirty, dusty and it seems that no one has ever cleaned the place. The staff is really friendly, but I would not recommend this place.

We had a brilliant time in Prague and were very pleased with the accommodation. We were particularly impressed with the efficient taxi service provided by the hotel. This ensured that we had a stress-free start to our trip.
With regards to our accommodation, we felt that we received very good value for money. The location was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. On entering the building, the foyer does not look the nicest (it is an apartment within a block of flats)...but this is to be expected from the low prices. However, once we got to our room, we were impressed with the comfort and adequate space.
You could hear no outside noise whilst inside the apartment, but the water pipes from other room were quite noisey when people were showering.
Ideal accommodation for young people on a budget.
