| Nerano, situated in the heart of the Sorrentine Peninsula, offers numerous itineraries and trails made of fragrant citrus groves, scented bushes and scrubs typical of the Mediterranean flora.
From here guests can visit Nerano Bay, the inlet of Crapolla, the archeological area of Punta Campanella, the beautiful beach of Recommone and the St. Costanzo mount from which it is possible to admire the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno. Nerano is also situated very close to Capri, Positano and Amalfi, easily reachable by boat. |

When we stepped out on the tiled patio of our apartment, I told my wife: "This is the most beautiful place I've ever been." And that includes extensive travel on three continents. As beautiful as the view was—including the Sireneuse islands, fragrant lemon groves, a beautiful harbor, and towering limestone cliffs—the people on hand were even moreso. We were amply welcomed and supported by the owner Giugliemo and his housekeeper Rosa, who arranged for a home-cooked ORGANIC Italian feast in their garden. Nerano is a small town, with a very persistant bell tower chiming the hours and half hours (couldn't they shut it off at night?), and we fell in love with it. Easy access to the whole Amalfi peninsula, and the most amazing walking paths heading into the mountains. It couldn't have been a better 20th wedding anniversary trip for my wife and me.
