| Amalfi preserves many art tresures not to be missed such as the Cathedral with splendid mosaics, the Church of St. Antonio, the Convent of St. Francesco, the Paper Museum and the Chapel of St. Giuseppe del Castrista. The town hosts many traditional events, including the the Festa of St. Giuseppe, the Festa of St.Antonio, the historic sailing regatta contested by the four maritime republics, the St.Andrea patron saint of the city, the underwater procession to the Grotta dello Smeraldo held at Christmas, the firework of New Year's Eve and the Via Crucis. |

The views from the camere are spectacular, it is really just a few steps from downtown and people are very nice and willing to help

When we finally found the green door, the rest was perfect! James was very helpful and the breakfast venue was special too. The view from the room is worth going again.

There is no reception desk or lobby, just a locked green door. You need to telephone ahead to have someone direct you to the difficult to find location and give you the key. No elevator or services. Terrific location overlooking the bay and good value for the money.

Overlooking the main plaza in Amalfi so the location is excellent. We loved it! Excellent quality window so not noisy when closed (for sleeping). Spacious room was very clean and had a fridge. Private bathroom. You even get your own "object de art" (a vase). James was very knowlegable/helpful. Gave us some free intenet at his shop. Only downside was parking in Amalfi is very tight so we had to pay 15 euro/day for parking.
